New Years Eve Niagara Falls

Wanting to celebrate New Years Eve Niagara Falls style? Well it looks like ringing in 2020 is going to be a big hit. This huge event attracts over 40,000 people and is the largest televised live New Years Eve show in Canada.  Unfortunately due to Covid-19 all New Year's Eve festivities were cancelled in 2020.  You can still enjoy the Niagara Falls Festival of Lights though.

Here is the schedule of events for the evening. The party takes place in Queen Victoria Park which is at the bottom of Murray Street. It is set to start at 7:30pm with fireworks taking place twice throughout the evening.

I would suggest if you want a place to park, you better get there nice and early. I know you can park underground at the casino, which is a short walk down to Victoria Park. Usually parking there is $5.00 but in Niagara Falls New Years Eve the attendant said it would be more than $20.00 perhaps up to $50.00. There are other lots, like behind the I-Max Niagara Falls, the Skylon Tower and across from Table Rock House, all of which fill up quickly. Whatever you do, do not leave your car parked in front of the falls on the Niagara Parkway. I have seen too many cars ticketed by the Parks Police for this.

Playing this year, 2020/21 has not been announced yet in Niagara Falls New Years Eve... Names from years passed  were...drum roll please... Demi Lovato, the Sam Roberts Band and Serena Ryder. There will be food and beverage vendors with an outdoor licensed patio.

All of the action down at Victoria Park is free, and I have heard that the fireworks are spectacular. Actually, Niagara Falls Canada is very alive on December 31st. The Casinos in Niagara Falls are in full swing, and all the attractions on Clifton Hill are open till at least midnight, usually later.

While you are down there, take a drive through the Niagara Falls Festival of Lights.  It too is free (just asking for a donation on the way out).  It is a great way to view the falls in the winter.

So bundle up and enjoy New Years Eve Niagara Falls style.
